I agree but I don't know which pro wrestling event is awesome but nowadays WWE isn't and I've been watching it since 2006. I don't know many pro wrestling companies, which was were you refering to?

@Ermoli im not really talking about a certain company. Just Pro wrestling in general. but I like WWE and TNA. those are only main companies i know of that are on TV

I know that's why I was asking because there isn't pro wrestling here in Uruguay. We can only see WWE and I'm pretty disappointed by it, PG is bad for the company

When people say wrestling is fake, I don't think they are referring to the athleticism or physicality. The fake is referencing the drama and "hatred" associated with the scripted story lines.

Wrestling, in my opinion, is not as good as it was 20 years ago when Hulk Hogan, Super Fly Snuka, Andre The Giant, Jake The Snake, Rick Rude and Randy Savage were in the game. All you see now are storylines that are shallow and basically circle around sex. I don't mind seeing some lady parts but that is all you see today....

You know what's awesome is the Lucha Libre stuff. Obviously wrestling is scripted, much like an action film is scripted, but there is still entertainment value. What is not entertaining is the current state of wrestling, a bunch of people without shirts or masks, with generic names like "Randy Orton" and less like "Mankind," and incredibly generic matches where it feels like you're watching the same match over and over. Lucha Libre is exciting, and the wrestlers put a lot more on the line with higher-risk maneuvers than WWE, for instance.

The OP has a point. Scripted wrestling still carries its risks and hazards. If anything, it's more dangerous than UFC, MMA, boxing, etc. for one reason: defending yourself. In each sport I just mentioned, you don't openly take abuse, you do your best to minimize the damage done by defending yourself. In scripted wrestling, however, you don't fully defend yourself. You willingly take (insert move name here) and sell it to the crowd. Look no further than Steve Austin's broken neck/temporary paralysis off of a botched Bret Hart piledriver and John Cena's herniated disc against Batista @ Summerslam for proof they're dangerous. In other real fighting leagues, fighters do their absolute best to defend themselves, reducing the chances for injury. Pro Wrestlers are trained to take bumps, but even with that comes (in my mind) even greater risk.

Yeah wrestling is fake so what, So is True Blood, Salt, Avatar and every show on Tv, Its funny when people talk about that stuff but sit and watch the shows I mention, Whats the difference?
